Her treatment philosophy is heavily influenced by Functional Manual Therapy (FMT), utilizing the MNM approach to identify and treat dysfunctions in Mechanical capacity, Neuromuscular function, and Motor control in order to optimize her patients’ function and maximize their movement potential.
Dr. Silva believes in a whole body approach, looking for the drivers of a patient’s symptoms both locally and in adjacent joints or even other parts of the body, and understands the importance of reintegrating all of these parts back into a whole to fully restore the body to it’s most efficient state as a movement system.
